JKV Gives Back

Building More Than Homes

As our company grows, so does our commitment to using our skills, our time, and our hearts to help build safer homes, stronger neighborhoods, and a better tomorrow.

We believe every community has people who quietly need a helping hand, and when we're able, we want to be part of the solution.

Our Why

Why We Started JKV Gives Back

Every community has people facing challenges that aren't always visible. Some are elderly. Some are living with a disability. Others have lost a spouse or are navigating circumstances that have simply made everyday home maintenance more difficult than they ever expected.

Not every home in need requires a major renovation. Sometimes the greatest difference comes from repairing a handrail, building a wheelchair ramp, fixing a leaking roof, or taking care of the small projects that have become too difficult to manage alone. A simple repair can often restore far more than the home itself.

We started JKV Gives Back because we believe the skills we've been given can do more than repair homes. They can help restore safety, dignity, independence, and hope — one project, one family, and one neighbor at a time.

Safety

Sometimes a repaired handrail, a secure stair, or a properly functioning door can restore confidence and prevent injuries.

Independence

Small repairs can help someone continue living safely and comfortably in the home they love.

Dignity

Everyone deserves a home they can feel proud of, regardless of their circumstances.

Hope

Sometimes the greatest gift isn't the repair itself. It's knowing someone cared enough to help.

Serving Our Community

Our Commitment

Every Story Matters

Every nomination is personally reviewed by our team with care, compassion, and respect. We believe every story deserves to be heard.

Thoughtful Decisions

Recipients are selected based on genuine hardship, safety concerns, and where our time and skills can make the greatest difference—not by popularity or who asks first.

Built With Care

Every JKV Gives Back project is completed with the same craftsmanship, professionalism, and attention to detail that we bring to every client project.

Neighbors Helping Neighbors

We believe strong communities are built when people choose to care for one another. JKV Gives Back is simply our way of giving back to the community that supports us.

Restoring More Than Homes

We believe repairing a home can also restore confidence, independence, and peace of mind. Sometimes a single repair can change the way someone experiences everyday life.

As JKV continues to grow, we're committed to setting aside time each year to serve individuals and families facing genuine hardship. While our business is built on remodeling and repair, we believe our skills can also be used to strengthen the communities we call home.

Projects may be nominated by friends, neighbors, churches, nonprofit organizations, coworkers, family members, or anyone who knows someone quietly struggling with a necessary home repair. Sometimes those opportunities simply come through conversations we have along the way.

Although we won't be able to accept every nomination, every story will be read with genuine care and thoughtful consideration. Our hope is to help as many people as we're able, one meaningful project at a time.

The Bigger Picture

It's Never Just About the Project

A project may begin with a repair, but the impact often reaches much further. A sturdy handrail can restore the confidence to safely enter and leave a home each day. A wheelchair ramp can provide greater independence and make everyday life a little easier.

A repaired roof can bring peace of mind during the next storm. Fresh flooring can remove a tripping hazard. Sometimes the projects that seem the smallest on paper become the ones that make the biggest difference in someone's daily life.

Every person's story is unique, and we are committed to treating each recipient with dignity, respect, and compassion throughout the process.

Every Story Matters

Many people facing difficult circumstances would never ask for help themselves. That's why JKV Gives Back depends on friends, family members, neighbors, and others who are willing to tell their story for them.

You may know someone quietly living with a broken handrail, an unsafe entry, or a repair they've simply been unable to afford. They may never submit a nomination — but you can.

Sometimes changing someone's life begins with someone else taking the first step.
