JKV Contractors · Salt Lake County
Cracked concrete, overgrown yards, bare dirt where there should be something beautiful — we fix the outside too.
The outside of your home is the first thing anyone sees — and the last thing most homeowners get around to fixing. Cracked walkways, uneven concrete, overgrown landscaping, or just a yard that never quite came together. It's easy to let it slide.
Javier's background in commercial concrete work means he understands how to pour, finish, and cure concrete properly — not just slap it down and hope for the best. Combined with landscaping work that focuses on clean lines, proper drainage, and plants that actually thrive in Utah's climate, the result is an exterior that looks intentional.
Whether you need a new concrete walkway, a patio poured, retaining walls built, or just a yard that finally looks like someone lives there and cares — we handle it.
Scope of Work
The JKV Difference
Javier worked on large commercial concrete projects before JKV. That means your patio or walkway is poured, finished, and cured the right way — not the fast way.
We know what holds up through Salt Lake winters and dry summers. We won't recommend plants or materials that look great in June and fail by October.
We don't leave a job half-done. Edges are clean, surfaces are finished, and the yard looks like a professional touched it — because one did.
How It Works
We walk the property, assess drainage, soil conditions, and existing hardscape to plan the work correctly.
We discuss what you want to achieve and give you a realistic plan for your budget and timeline.
Proper grading, base prep, and drainage before any concrete is poured or plants go in.
We complete the work and leave the site clean — no piles of dirt, no leftover materials.

Got Questions?
Typically 4 inches for a residential patio, 6 inches if you're parking vehicles on it. We'll spec it correctly for your intended use.
Depends on the severity. Surface cracks can often be filled and sealed. Structural cracks or heaved sections usually need replacement. We'll give you an honest assessment.
We focus on drought-tolerant, low-maintenance plants that thrive in Utah's climate — ornamental grasses, native shrubs, and perennials that look good year after year without constant watering.
